What is RSS?
RSS is short for Really Simple Syndication.
Using RSS you can subscribe to news and information posted on a website, which will be delivered to your reader every time the information is updated. Information is sent to an RSS reader on your desktop, which will alert you that new information has been posted.
How do I get started with RSS?
There are three kinds of RSS reader.
- Desktop applications which you download and install.
- Web applications, which work like your webmail
- Newer web browsers have news readers incorporated.
Get a desktop newsreader
Download a news reader from http://www.feedreader.com/download
or
http://www.newzcrawler.com/downloadshtml
- Install the reader
- Subscribe to COHRED feeds by pasting the URL of the link from the RSS feed into the reader
- When COHRED publshes new material in these areas your reader will notify you.
