Practical guides for decision makers

This page provides practical information designed to guide decision makers in their efforts to strengthen national health research systems.

These guides distill COHRED's experience and expertise - gained from working with low and middle income countries worldwide - into practical approaches to inform decisions on how countries can best strengthen health research systems.

They give a framework for planning and implementing system development, and give advice on the steps needed to move from decisions to action.

These guides focus on the Framework for National Health Research System development, evidence to inform development of the system and health research policies. Further guides are in preparation, on priority setting, capacity building, communicating research, and international partnerships.
