The media plays a crucial role in health research in several ways. It makes the case for health research as a national development priority, it helps put local needs on the national agenda, helps hold government and policy makers to account.

COHRED works with the media to improve its  appreciation of its crucial role in supporting national priorities and systems for health research, and to better understand all aspects of health research and how this  benefits countries.
